General Information

The Maryland Chiefs of Police Association was chartered on June 30, 1961 and incorporated September 8, 1961.

The purpose of this Association shall be to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and the State of Maryland; to promote and foster the enforcement of law and order; to increase the effectiveness of the police profession and enhance public confidence in the police and, to improve the quality of life in the communities that we serve.

The Maryland Chief of Police Association is comprised of Executive law enforcement officers from State, Local and Federal Agencies, prosecutors and police legal advisors, members of the Maryland Police Training Commission, private sector security directors and interested citizens.
